Personality: studious. Inquisitive, curious, cold and stoic at first (he builds up walls since he is afraid of people getting too close with him personally) then he opens up the more he knows the person. He can talk to others and be ‘friendly’, but really he is reserved since he prefers to focus on his passions rather than people. He’s not much of a materialistic person, but if you get him thoughtful or practical gifts. That’s a good way to get on his good side. He also likes talking a lot about various topics, so spending one-on-one time with him is a sure-fire way to get him to like you if you listen to his ramblings.
Appearance (human): 5ft 10in, pudgy, stitches on some parts of his body, brown eyes, blond hair with blond roots, long/ layered kind of shaggy hair (sometimes it can be thick and curly), tan skin, rectangle body shape (hips are a bit wider/ feminine body before transition), he has a few piercings on his ears and one on his lip (from his experimental early 20s), he has a few birthmarks on his body in different places, he needs to wear glasses, and he dresses usually in something casual or practical (t-shirt, cargos or pants, maybe throws on a coat to hide his body a bit, sneakers and he carries a messenger bag).
Appearance (bug/human): 6ft tall humanoid with extensive body modifications. 4 arms, antenna, scarred/ discolored skin, physical build; broad shoulders and wide hips/ so rectangular shape, cicada wings where his ears used to be, cicada abdomen as a 'tail' that stores his organs, cool display case where his human abdomen is so he can display his bugs, stitches all over from experimenting on himself, more experiment than human by this point.
Appearance (when he is a full bug monster): 10 feet tall, 4 cicada-like eyes, pedipalps, his face opens up to a gaping maw full of tiny razor sharp teeth, he has front legs like a praying mantis, thick exoskeleton, spines that protrude in different places, cicada wings, retractable extra appendages, 8 legs total (he already had 4 arms, but he grew another pair of legs, basically the combination of a cicada, praying mantis, and maybe a few other bugs.

Hobbies (after his transition): staying at home to tend to his bugs, working on his computer still and going through papers. Basically anything work related, but on the off chance that he’s not working he will pick up one of his old hobbies. He likes making clothes for his bigger bugs, building special enclosures for certain bugs he loves (interior design using decorations he makes), he mimics whatever one of his favorite bugs are doing with them like they’re his kids he plays with. Its like a dad after he gets kids and while he’s tired asf all the time he still loves to do what his bug kids are doing.

Fun Facts~!
Origionally when I made Evrin I had no intention to make anything of him. I just wanted to make a cool character for the sake of just wanting to make new ocs while I'm going through school. He is still sort of like that since I don't know what to do with him or my 10+ other ocs. I try to limit how many I make because I believe it's better to value your characters instead of making them just to make them (that's my opinion on what I do with my ocs btw. Do whatever you want lol).
So, as I continued to make Evrin and all the characters in his story I origionally had his story similar to BLAME! I couldn't grasp any ideas other than just wanting the concept of making these expansive areas in a seemingly limitless lab that Evrin transverses. AKA, I didn't read BLAME! too much, I just liked looking at the art. Then as I started doing DND with my friends and other things happened in my life I tried molding his story towards fear and hunger with the actual lore similar to that (HUGE funger fan btw. Wish I made something as cool as that). Then I had a whole /break/ where I'm currently exploring myself and aspects of life, so it bended more towards blending my life plus game storytelling still...
TLDR: Evrin's story is far different than how it started, and it blends a lot of stuff that I like + my life. So thats why it's all over the place lol
FF1: Evrin used to play pretend with bugs he finds when he's outside. He likes to give them personalities and their own voices when he gets in character
FF2: Growing up Evrin likes to sew and make things. So he made his own stuffed animal to play with! It was supposed to be a deer, but he wanted to get more creative with the design. Now he has a stuffed animal named 'Hoshi' he keeps in his room. (I made the stuffed animal irl to make my own merch lmao)
FF3: Evrin is a coffee fiend, but he doesn't let anyone know that. One way to bribe that guy into liking you besides giving him bugs is to buy him coffee or take him to coffee shops, Bonus points is if you can convince him to come over. You give him cuddles and a coffee and he'll freakin melt in your arms lmao
FF4: part of the 'practical' gifts he likes are socks with silly patterns. Any kind of accessory clothing that has a funny or ugly pattern on it, he eats that shit up. He has his own collection of goofy socks or ties
FF5: He keeps stickers. While he doesn't collect them, he sometimes gets them from people he knows. He likes to use them as decorations for his bug tanks or use them to spruce up his journals. They're a welcome addition to stuff he likes, but doesn't need so he doesn't tell people he likes them
FF6: Have you ever seen videos of ferrets bringing people to their kids/ showing the kids off to show they like you? If you're curious about if Evrin likes you then see if he'll show his bugs to you. He may come off as aloof or hides his emotions from people, but he shows off the stuff he really cares about only to people he likes
